Cost Accountant
Description We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Long Beach, California. In this role, you will play a key part in analyzing and managing costs to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise in cost accounting within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Conduct detailed cost analysis to support accurate pricing and financial decision-making. • Oversee inventory management processes, including cycle counting and reconciliation. • Prepare and post journal entries during month-end close, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. • Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records. • Reconcile accounts to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions. • Apply cost accounting principles to analyze actual costs and improve financial forecasting. • Utilize advanced Excel skills to create and manage financial models and reports. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights on cost-saving opportunities. • Support the financial planning process by providing detailed cost analysis and projections. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within the aerospace industry. • Familiarity with Hyperion software is preferred. • Strong knowledge of inventory management practices and cycle counting processes. • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. • Experience with month-end close procedures, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations. • Solid understanding of cost accounting principles and actual cost analysis. • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. **For confidential consideration, please apply directly with your resume or call Allysa Bayly.
