Description We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Accountant to join our growing team in Starkville, MS. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the financial operations of a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general accounting and month-end close processes, with an understanding of manufacturing cost accounting highly preferred. Key responsibilities include: + Performing general accounting duties, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and managing the general ledger. + Supporting month-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. + Assisting with inventory accounting and reconciling inventory balances. + Coordinating with the operations team to track and analyze manufacturing-related expenses. + Contributing to financial analysis activities such as budget vs. actual variance analysis and forecasting. + Assisting with the development and implementation of internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Requirements + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of accounting experience; experience in manufacturing or with cost accounting is highly preferred. + Strong understanding of general accounting principles and month-end close procedures. + Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with manufacturing accounting systems is a plus. + Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with a detail-oriented approach. + Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and finance personnel.
