Job Description
As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing financial and manufacturing data to determine the costs of business activities, such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor. You will recommend process and policy changes to reduce costs and maximize profitability, evaluate the impact of changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services on overall costs, and develop cost projections for new and proposed products.
ResponsibilitiesCollect and analyze financial and manufacturing data.Recommend process and policy changes to reduce costs and maximize profitability.Evaluate the impact of changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services on overall costs.Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual expenditures.Record cost information to support expenditure control and decision-making.Conduct cost audits and prepare detailed reports and analyses.Develop cost projections for new and proposed products.Maintain the cost accounting system and ensure accurate recordkeeping.Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes for the general ledger.Conduct physical inventories and oversee the cycle count program.Reconcile raw material inventories to ensure accuracy.Skills & Qualifications RequiredBachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or similar.A minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of experience in manufacturing cost accounting.Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory, and cost accounting.Ability to analyze data, develop conclusions, and make recommendations.Proficiency in Excel with the ability to manage databases.Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
