Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our team in El Paso, Texas. This Contract to Permanent position is ideal for a skilled individual with a strong background in cost accounting, particularly within manufacturing environments. You will play a vital role in analyzing and managing costs to ensure operational efficiency and financial accuracy. Responsibilities: • Perform detailed cost analysis to evaluate production expenses and identify opportunities for cost reduction. • Maintain and review standard costing systems to ensure accuracy and consistency. • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to analyze variances and monitor cost performance. • Generate comprehensive financial reports related to cost accounting and present findings to management. • Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing cost-related insights. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies in all cost accounting activities. • Conduct regular audits of cost-related data to maintain accuracy and reliability. • Assist in the development and implementation of cost control strategies to optimize resources. • Provide recommendations for process improvements based on cost analysis results. • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve overall financial efficiency. Requirements • Proven experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment. • Strong knowledge of standard cost accounting principles and practices. • Proficiency in performing cost analysis and generating detailed financial reports. • Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting processes. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
