Join a thriving company in Livermore, CA, as a Cost Accountant, where you will play a pivotal role in analyzing and managing costs to contribute to the financial success of the organization. ** For immediate consideration, contact Julian Sanchez on LinkedIn ** Key Responsibilities: + Assist in the development and maintenance of cost systems and processes to ensure accurate pricing, cost analysis, and reporting. + Prepare cost accounting reports, including standard cost updates, variance analysis, and recommendations. + Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, production processes, and profitability. + Reconcile inventory valuations and develop cost savings initiatives collaboratively with cross-functional teams. + Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning related to cost management. + Work closely with the operations and finance teams to provide actionable insights into cost efficiencies and financial performance. + Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies. Requirements + Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required. + 2+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial context. + Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills are a plus. + Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to work in a deadline-driven environment. + Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multiple departments and present data effectively. + Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and cost accounting standards.
