Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Cost Accountant located in Westmorland Business Park, England.

Reporting to the Finance Controller, the Cost Accountant role will be part of an excellent team, whose members are strong communicators, ambitious & innovative.

What a typical day looks like:

Managing project data set-up to ensure accurate reporting and system integrityResponsible for ensuring all material, labour and expense costs are accurately reflected in project costing systemTracking progress of project activities to enable appropriate project financial accounting for revenue recognition, cost recognition and billingPreparing monthly financial information and analysis for projects to explain actual financial performance against budgetReport on product and customer performance to managementInvestigate variances and report on variances to management

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

Working to deadlines with a good attention to detailGood communication and organisational skills are essentialAbility to manage day to day work whilst also being part of a team.Fantastic written and verbal communication skillsExperience of accounts systems and excelConfident under pressure and able to handle multifaceted objectivesExcellent work ethic with confidentiality at the coreEconomic background is a plus.A professional certification is preferred - A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), America Production Inventory Control Society (APICS), Chartered Accountant (CA), or a Certified General Accountant (CGA).
