JOB DESCRIPTION
The Project Development Officer II (PDO II) shall serve as the focal person responsible for the coordination of program, projects and activities related to the inter-agency implementation of the Comprehensive National Juvenile Intervention Program (CNJIP) and initiatives for CICLs in detention facilities including the Bahay Pag-asa (BPA). The position shall likewise conduct monitoring visits and provide technical assistance and support to Regional Juvenile Justice and Welfare Committee (RJJWCs) Secretariats, Local Government Units (LGUs), and relevant stakeholders in the delivery of Juvenile Justice and Welfare Services.
Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Draft and disseminate meeting invitations and related materials to partner agencies;
2. Draft memoranda/request letter to RJJWCs and other member agencies/LGUs for the annual updating on the list of jails and custodial facilities nationwide;
3. Assist in the preparation of the division’s quarterly reports, when necessary;
4. Coordinate M&E related meetings, trainings, workshops, and other activities in the division in relation to CNJIP and BPA/other detention facilities;
5. Coordinate with Council member agencies, LGUs and partners to ensure active participation in the conduct of CNJIP quarterly meetings and other related activities;
6. Participate in actual monitoring visits, assisting in data gathering and interviews with BPA or other detention facility personnel;
7. Respond to local government units (LGUs) in request for technical assistance to address concerns related to CLJIP and operationalization of Bahay Pag-asa;
8. Perform other related tasks as may be assigned by the Social Welfare Officer V - Division Chief, Deputy Executive Director, or Executive Director.
