Reuters is seeking a Correspondent for the Markets team. This is a great opportunity for a dynamic correspondent, who has experience in reporting, source-building and writing on financial markets or companies and can deliver smart stories with the sort of investable insight our buy-side clients demand.

 About the role-

The ideal candidate will be part of an 14-member strong team in Bengaluru and help drive the coverage of:

U.S. stocks report, one of our most-read stories globally, covering moves in the shares of U.S. corporate giants from Apple to Tesla and data or news-driven shifts in the S&P, Dow Jones and Nasdaq indexes;Emerging Market reports covering a sweep of currency, bond and stock markets in developing economies across Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa;European and UK equities reports;The U.S.-focused stories that make up our popular Stocks Buzz service;Quick-hit takeouts on major shifts in stock market sentiment and particular shares

 

About you-

Minimum 3-6 years of experience into market research and journalismThe ideal candidate must be an ambitious correspondent with the skills to build relationships at some of the world's biggest financial companies. They will cover everything from unexplained stock market surges to the impact of rising inflation on U.S. Treasuries  – stories that will appear on the Front Page of Workspace and reuters.com. The ideal candidate will be expected to work hand-in-hand with the markets team and editors globally as well as colleagues across the newsroom in Bengaluru, covering global stories.
