Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Correctional Facility | Boston, MA

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is working with a respected correctional facility in Boston, MA, to fill a full-time LPN position. This is a great opportunity for nurses seeking a dynamic environment with a consistent schedule and competitive pay.

Position Details: Location: Boston, MA Facility Type: Correctional Facility Assignment Length: 13 weeks to start, with strong potential for extension Schedule: Rotating Week 1: Sunday 2:45 PM – 7:15 AM; Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM Compensation: Local: $48/hour Travel: $2,200 gross/week Parking: No on-site parking. Nearby garage available at $500/month. Reimbursement up to $300/month provided. Job Responsibilities: General nursing duties including medication administration, triage, and risk assessments Assist physicians with medical treatments Apply surgical dressings and bandages Provide emergency first aid care Monitor and record vital signs Collect specimens for diagnostic testing Document patient reactions to treatments and changes in condition Educate patients and assist with discharge planning Maintain accurate and timely medical records Foster a therapeutic and respectful environment for inmate patients Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Active LPN license in the state of Massachusetts Minimum of 1 year of correctional healthcare experience preferred (new grads considered) Current CPR certification TB screening (PPD, questionnaire, or chest X-ray as applicable) Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulations) Compliance with all professional standards of practice
