We’re seeking a skilled Senior M365 AI Platform Engineer to lead, design and build Copilot & Power Platform solutions to be deployed across SharePoint, Teams, internal NYL channels, Websites, and SaaS applications. This role will also support M365 integrated experiences. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in supporting and enabling users and business areas to build impactful, scalable M365 and Copilot solutions while ensuring environments remain secure, healthy, governed and optimized for future growth.
What You’ll Do:
M365 AI Platform & Support
Provide expert-level Copilot, Copilot Studio and generalized AI consulting support for NYL business users, including in-depth reviews of current use cases. Demonstrate expert knowledge of M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, SharePoint, Teams, and related M365 tools and technologies. Guide and mentor teams on Copilot architecture, best practices, and integration patterns for Agents and related requirements for scalability. Review solution designs, provide technical recommendations, and conduct code reviews prior to deployment. Support the use of Copilot experiences embedded in SharePoint, Teams, and potentially standalone Copilot Studio agents. Support the environments in Power Platform admin center as well as maintaining an overall inventory of Copilot Agents as well as their usage.Environment Management
Assist users in building and managing secure, scalable M365 Copilot solutions across NYL’s lower environments and production zones. Ensure adherence to governance, policies, and compliance standards across all user-developed solutions.Community Engagement
Monitor the internal Copilot Teams channel, providing timely technical guidance and sharing knowledge with peers and users across the Enterprise Lead weekly developer syncs to showcase new features, share platform updates, and promote the adoption of best practices.Dashboards & Monitoring
Develop and maintain dashboard metrics to monitor usage, adoption, and the health of M365 administrative and platform solutions. Support the creation and maintenance of dashboards tracking Copilot and Azure usage to assist with reporting and cost optimization.Strategic Analysis & Innovation
Leverage M365 data, web APIs, and third-party connectors to support application logic and evolving business needs. Evaluate use cases for potential escalation to OpenAI developers for advanced enhancements or custom Copilot solutions.What You’ll Bring:
5+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft 365 (M365) administration, including Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online and Power Platform, etc. 1 years of Copilot Studio experience Practical experience with AI-assisted development governance tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar, particularly in supporting our processes for DevOps compliance. In-depth knowledge of SharePoint Online, Teams integration, and M365 AI capabilities within enterprise environments. Knowledge of SharePoint Advanced Management and Purview helpful but not required Strong understanding of Azure services, API integration, and custom connector development. Proficiency in creating and publishing dashboards with tools like Power BI, Azure Monitor, or similar. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to lead peer code/design reviews and facilitate knowledge-sharing or training sessions.Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant Microsoft or cloud certifications (e.g., MS-300, AI-100, PL-600). Experience in large enterprise environments supporting both professional developers and low-code/no-code solutions. Familiarity with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or other large language model (LLM) platforms and frameworks.
