What you'll do:
As a Corporate Tax Solicitor based in Birmingham, you will play an integral role within a large national practice renowned for its technical expertise.
Advise on the corporate tax aspects of mainstream corporate, banking, and commercial transactions for major clients across various sectors. Provide standalone corporate tax advice including tax-efficient management strategies and employee incentive schemes tailored to client needs. Support national and international mergers, acquisitions, and disposals by delivering strategic tax planning and transaction structuring guidance. Assist with group reorganisations and balance sheet engineering projects to optimise client outcomes. Offer expert advice on management incentives such as employee share schemes for both public and private sector clients. Contribute to private funds work and joint venture arrangements by advising on relevant tax implications. Engage in public markets transactions including IPOs and secondary fund raisings by providing specialist tax input. Share technical knowledge within the team by delivering updates on market developments and facilitating awareness training for non-tax colleagues. Mentor less experienced team members by offering guidance on technical issues and supporting their professional growth through training initiatives. Participate in marketing activities such as delivering training sessions or preparing briefing notes to enhance the team's profile.What you bring:
Demonstrable experience advising on corporate tax aspects of transactions including structuring issues arising during due diligence processes.
At least 2 - 4 years' PQE experience gained within a dedicated corporate tax team. Excellent interpersonal skills. Willingness to participate in marketing initiatives.What sets this company apart:
