About the team

Join our Corporate Security team, tasked with safeguarding Stripe’s operations by managing and maintaining our security systems across our global offices. We take a risk-based approach to protect our physical and digital assets, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional user experiences. The Corporate Security team is dedicated to preventing or mitigating disruptions while maintaining the highest standards of safety and security. As the Corporate Security Systems Administrator, you will be critical in enhancing and optimizing our security systems and infrastructure.

What you’ll do

As a Corporate Security Systems Administrator at Stripe, you will be responsible for overseeing the programming, configuration, and optimization of our corporate security technologies, including access control and video management systems. Your expertise in Genetec programming will be essential to ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of our security infrastructure. You will collaborate with IT, Security Operations, and external vendors to develop innovative solutions that enhance the security environment at Stripe. This position requires a proactive approach to managing integrations, updates, and system performance across multiple global locations. Occasional travel (up to 20%) may be required to support our initiatives worldwide.

This role will sit in our San Francisco headquarters.

Responsibilities Manage the programming, configuration, and optimization of Genetec Synergis (access control), Genetec OmniCast (video management), and other physical security technologies.  Support the implementation of Genetec system integrations with various platforms and third party applications such as braXos, Envoy, Slack, etc. Oversee system architecture, configuration, commissioning, and maintenance of security systems across multiple locations while providing escalation support for the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC). Deploy innovative solutions involving Genetec Cloud infrastructure, internal AI tools, and more.  Collaborate with security integrators and technicians to ensure successful installation and troubleshooting of security infrastructure, leveraging your vendor management experience. Monitor and manage software, firmware, and OS updates/patches for servers, databases, and applications supporting physical security systems. Define and evolve system standards and technical specifications to ensure compliance and long-term resilience of the security infrastructure. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure that systems meet regulatory and company requirements. Minimum requirements At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in Genetec programming, specifically with Synergis, OmniCast, and SC SaaS/Stratocast systems.  Demonstrated expertise in configuring and optimizing access control systems, video management systems, and other related security infrastructure. Strong foundational knowledge of networking principles, akin to entry-level network engineer experience. Familiarity with security hardware such as Axis cameras, Mercury boards, electrified door hardware (e.g. mortise locks, etc.) and LifeSafetyPower supplies. Must hold active Genetec technical certifications. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of work. Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams, senior management, and external vendors. Preferred qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Information Technology, or a related field. Skilled in database management (e.g., SQL, Google BigQuery) and capable of implementing data-driven solutions. Experience with API and/or webhook integrations, particularly with enterprise security tools and third-party platforms. Prior experience supporting audits and compliance with regulatory requirements. Proficiency in managing integrations with IoT devices, enterprise security platforms, and AI-based threat detection technologies. Strong organizational skills with a history of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously. A proactive approach to identifying security gaps and implementing effective solutions. Experience with project management tools to assist with tracking progress and staying organized.
