POSITION TITLE: Foundation and Corporate Philanthropy Internship

REPORTS TO: Manager - Foundation And Corporate Philanthropy

DIRECT REPORTS: N/A

*Please note this is a part time opportunity at 20 hours/week

The AEO Inc. Foundation and Corporate Philanthropy team is seeking an Intern who will support administration, communication, fundraising and event needs. 

Our Foundation and Corporate Philanthropy team is building a better world through charitable programs and projects for AEO Inc, our Brands, our AEO Foundation and Aerie Real Foundation, and our Associates. Through internal programs for our Associates, external programs and grantmaking, and the generosity of our dedicated customers, we are doing work that makes a real impact in our communities.  We foster engagement and work strategically to connect our Associates to opportunities where they can make a difference.

 

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

Handle the distribution for our AEO Gift Card Request program, including reviewing requests, selecting organizations, communicating with the organization, and maintaining digital records.  Draft communications and post content on Life@AEO related to our charitable giving and Foundation grant programs to share with internal and external audiences. Research upcoming volunteer opportunities in Pittsburgh, New York City, Ottawa, Hazleton, and Mississauga and share with internal teams.  Provide event support for the AEO Foundation Golf Classic, Summer Sample Sale, and Fixture Sale. Assist with the Stage AE Ticket Request program, including reviewing new requests, processing payments, answering questions and releasing tickets for upcoming shows.  Monitor our AEO Better World Foundation inbox  Sort incoming mail, print documents, file grant documentation, mail checks, and mail event supplies to teams as needed. Provide overall support in helping the department operate as efficiently and effectively as possible

Qualifications and Qualities:

Enthusiastic attitude Excellent written and oral communication skills Working knowledge of Google Drive, Google Documents, Gmail, Microsoft Office Products, and mail merging Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to self-manage and follow through to complete projects Bachelor’s Degree preferred (recent graduates encouraged to apply!) Remote work flexibility provided with in-office expectations 1-2 times per week. In office requirements subject to change based on team events + deliverables 

Service Conditions:

Must be able to lift 50lbs PAY/BENEFITS INFORMATION: Candidates will work a minimum of 20hrs/week with a max of up to 40hrs/week. Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
