The Corporate Paralegal - Brands at AEO plays a key role in driving efficiency, protecting the company’s assets and supporting business growth at the intersection of licensing, marketing, technology, intellectual property and digital operations. This position provides strategic legal support to multiple business teams and works closely with attorneys across the Legal Department to help the company operate with speed, compliance and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:
Contract & Commercial Support – Review, draft and manage IP, marketing, and digital-related agreements to ensure business initiatives are executed on time while minimizing risk Intellectual Property Management – Maintain and enforce AEO’s IP portfolio by supporting trademark filings, searches, docketing, renewals and anti-counterfeiting initiatives that safeguard brand value Compliance & Risk Management – Support investigations, discovery requests, pre-litigation and regulatory/governmental responses to reduce exposure and ensure legal compliance Business Partner Support – Guide business teams through contract review, negotiation and execution processes to streamline decision-making and improve cycle times Process Optimization – Identify and implement solutions to improve Legal Department organization, reporting and operational efficiency Special Projects – Provide high-level, confidential support to attorneys on strategic and sensitive business initiatives
Qualifications & Skills:
1-3 years prior experience in a legal or corporate retail environment, preferably working directly with attorneys or brands Notary public strongly preferred and familiarity with legalization and apostille processes Experience with filing trademark applications, conducting trademark searches, IP docketing systems, IP portfolio prosecution and trademark renewals is strongly preferred Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Mail, Drives, etc.) Familiarity with invoice processing systems such as Legal Tracker, Ariba, compliance software, contract management systems and/or legal docketing systems a plus Adherence to the highest ethical standards; acute attention to detail High level of professionalism, particularly with sensitive/confidential information Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization abilities with handling multiple tasks Ability to work independently in a changing, fast-paced environment A team player with the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staffPay/Benefits Information:
