THE ROLE The Corporate Manager of Loss Prevention Operations (CMLPO) is responsible for supporting the development, coordination, and implementation of enterprise-wide loss prevention initiatives. This role ensures the protection of company assets, reinforces fiscal discipline, and helps lead a cross-functional team focused on reducing internal and external theft, enhancing facility security, and promoting employee and customer safety. The CMLPO partners closely with field leadership, corporate departments, and regional loss prevention personnel to monitor and optimize department operations, manage security systems, and provide analytical oversight. This role includes both direct and dotted-line supervisory responsibilities and requires strong organizational, operational, and leadership skills. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: + Support and help lead corporate and field loss prevention efforts by managing reporting tools, system processes, and operational workflows. + Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining loss prevention programs and initiatives that mitigate risk, reduce shrink, and enhance safety. + Partner with field teams to oversee the installation and management of physical security systems including CCTV, alarm systems, and contracted security personnel. + Track, manage, and analyze departmental budgets, capital expenditures, and cost-containment efforts; provide regular updates to leadership. + Act as a liaison between the loss prevention function and other departments including Construction, Human Resources, IT, Finance, Operations, and Sales Audit. + Collect, analyze, and report on department KPIs; follow up with field and corporate stakeholders to address areas of concern. + Maintain and manage records related to department activity, investigations, security programs, and vendor relationships. + Oversee restitution efforts through external vendors to ensure timely and accurate collections. + Stay informed of trends, technological advancements, and legal developments in the field of loss prevention and advise leadership accordingly. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises the Loss Prevention Department Admin, such Loss Prevention Business Analysts as may be assigned and has dotted line supervisory responsibility to LPMs and LPBAs as necessary. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE + Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant certifications or equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted. + 5–10 years of experience in loss prevention, asset protection, or operations within a multi-unit retail, hospitality, or services environment. + Familiarity with CCTV systems, security/alarm platforms, exception reporting tools, and POS systems is strongly preferred. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and related reporting tools. SKILLS and ABILITIES + Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and all levels of management. + Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. + High integrity and commitment to confidentiality and ethical conduct. + Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. + Financial acumen and understanding of P&L impacts as they relate to loss prevention initiatives. + Customer service mindset and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
