Corporate Finance – SEC Reporting Associate

If you are organized, analytical and interested in being part of a collaborative team, you will fit in SEC Reporting! This dynamic team partners and engages with all the LOBs and functional groups, and provides opportunities to build and maintain strong relationships.

The SEC Reporting Group is part of the Bank Controller, Accounting Policy and Reporting (BCAPR) organization, which also includes the Bank Controller, Corporate Accounting Policy, Regulatory Reporting Policy, Inter-entity Analysis, and Quality Review & Control teams.

As an Associate in the SEC Reporting Group, you will contribute to the administration and production of SEC filings, including the Form 8-K and Earnings Release Financial Supplement, the Form 10-Q, and the Annual Report on the Form 10-K.  The team also releases files to the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission (via Wdesk).

Job responsibilities:

Manage and assist in the operations of the SEC Reporting team, including the administrative team, to ensure efficient end-to-end functionality, from the roll forward process to the final filing of reportsParticipate in strategic decision-making, including cross-functional collaboration to establish quarterly and annual key dates and calendar planningParticipate in the preparation and review of financial reports (e.g., Annual Report/Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, Quarterly Earnings Release and Financial Supplement, Form 8-K) and ensure disclosures comply with the SEC and U.S. GAAP requirements and maintain a "best-in-class” standardReview quarterly and annual disclosures for a line of business which involves working directly with the business partner to understand and corroborate disclosure informationFacilitate the filings of certain reports with the SECParticipate in the review of XBRL for Form 10-Q/KIdentify opportunities to improve reporting processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracyFacilitate quarterly meetings with business partners and senior managementMaintain high-quality documentation to ensure SEC Reporting’s compliance with the Firm’s Sarbanes-Oxley programRespond to ad-hoc requests from key partners such as Investor Relations, Legal, Senior Management and the LOBs

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

BS in Accounting or Finance2+ Years of Experience in accounting or auditStrong verbal, written and listening skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office suiteAbility to work in teams and interface with senior management and staffStrong interpersonal, presentation, organizational and time-management skillsChange agent – ability to drive change and to work well in an ever-changing environmentSelf-motivated, creative problem-solver, and ability to work independently and keep all parties apprised of developments

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) a plusAccounting Research experienceFamiliarity with Wdesk/Workiva
