Position Summary
Growth-minded Outbound Deal Sourcer to complement our world-class M&A Corporate Development team specializing in the wealth and retirement markets. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, credible, organized, well-articulated, and professionally persistent.
Your mission will be to proactively source acquisition targets by identifying independent Registered Investment Advisors, consistently building relationships with business owners, leadership teams, and key industry stakeholders—further enriching World’s ecosystem. Must be comfortable taking ownership of a highly visible and key role positively impacting World’s proprietary deal pipeline and stimulating relationships with centers of influence who will bolster future proprietary acquisitions with less effort.
Responsibilities
Industry Research and Deal Sourcing
+ Identify and evaluate acquisition targets aligned with World Investment Advisors’ strategic criteria across Wealth Management and Retirement specializations.
+ Possess the depth and breadth of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies fundamental for organic conversations while conducting preliminary outreach.
+ Build, expand, and manage a pipeline of qualified prospects aligned with World’s partnership model—cultivating relationships and presenting compelling opportunities to join World’s growing platform..
Relationship Building
+ Build relationships with founders, owners, executives, and other key decision-makers in target companies.
+ Develop credibility and trust by demonstrating industry knowledge and professionalism.
+ Stay top-of-mind with potential new partners through consistent, intentional touchpoints.
Pipeline Development
+ Goal-oriented, omnichannel approach to promote the World within the industry.
+ Collaborate to advance a go-to-market strategy that includes the preparation and use of prospecting assets, such as phone, texting, email, LinkedIn, HubSpot, etc. to build pipeline.
+ Originate qualified leads for proprietary acquisitions through outbound efforts such as cold outreach, warm introductions, and referral networks.
+ Secure warm introduction meetings with target’s key decision-maker/s and Corporate Development’s senior team.
+ Maintain detailed records of outreach and progress in Salesforce.
Strategic Collaboration
+ Work closely with internal M&A deal teams to align sourcing efforts with World’s broader strategy and criteria.
+ Concisely articulate market trends, company needs, and potential opportunities.
Experience
+ 2-5 years of professional experience in Wealth Advisory Corporate Development, Insurance M&A, or Private Equity, preferred.
+ Documented success showcasing extensive hands-on origination, deal sourcing, inside sales, business development, or pipeline generation, preferred.
+ Skilled in deadline-driven environments with strong emotional intelligence and communication skills, both written and verbal.
+ Proactive in remaining educated on innovations, disruptions, and valuations in the insurance and financial services sectors.
+ Proficiency in CRM software and tools to manage pipeline activity.
