Job Summary
The Corporate Counsel provides legal guidance and support to the organization on a wide range of issues, including regulatory compliance, contract law, employment arrangements, healthcare laws, and corporate governance. This role works closely with internal stakeholders to review, draft, and negotiate agreements, assess legal risk, interpret complex statutes and regulations, and ensure adherence to applicable laws and company policies. The Corporate Counsel plays a key role in enabling strategic decisions while mitigating legal exposure and supporting operational integrity.
Essential Functions
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) Degree from an accredited law school required 5-7 years of experience practicing law, including contract law, healthcare law, or corporate legal counsel experience required Experience in a healthcare organization or advising healthcare providers preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements, including Stark, Anti-Kickback, HIPAA, and related federal and state laws. Ability to draft, interpret, and negotiate a variety of legal agreements. Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical guidance for business stakeholders. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.Licenses and Certifications
