Job Purpose:
Our Corporate Counsel position will be responsible for providing day-to-day support for Veritiv’s business segments (i.e. Packaging, Facility Solutions, and Print Solutions) with respect to contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, and customer and supplier relations. This role will provide practical, business-minded advice that assists Veritiv in accomplishing its objectives while minimizing legal risk. The Counsel will report to Senior Counsel and will work closely with Veritiv’s team of attorneys, paralegals and administrative staff.Job Responsibilities:
● Draft, review and provide legal advice regarding customer and supplier contracts for corporate, regional and local accounts.● Provide legal guidance to sales management and professionals, category management and other functional units in connection with day-to-day operations.
● Coordinate resolution of business unit needs with other corporate functions such as credit, information technology and finance.
● Coordinate review and completion of sales and supplier agreements, confidentiality, consignment, dedicated Inventory and other Veritiv form agreements.
● Provide legal advice and assistance with requests for proposals and bids, including federal, state and local bids.
● Stay informed as to regulatory requirements impacting the products and services supplied by the business segments.

● Willingness to devote necessary time and effort to learn the distribution industry with a focus on Veritiv’s business segments and a general understanding of key business processes and objectives.
● A high degree of professionalism, discretion and business judgment.
Work Experience:
● 3-5 years of related job experience.● Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.● Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.● Experience of interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives.● Experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timescales within the overall policy framework.● Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).● Strong planning and organization skills are required.Education:
