We are currently seeking a Corporate Compliance Advisor to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

 

We are seeking a highly motivated Healthcare Operations and Compliance Lead to support our healthcare client accounts in ensuring our organization meets its HIPAA and healthcare-compliance-related obligations, including Medicare and Medicaid standards. This role will work closely with our Global Data Privacy team, in addition to Legal, Security, and healthcare client teams to assess compliance requirements, implement appropriate controls, monitor ongoing adherence to HIPAA standards, and provide day-to-day operational maintenance of compliance activities in the healthcare space. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of healthcare compliance principles and experience in assessing and operationalizing HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid requirements in a complex client-service environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a primary point of contact for HIPAA-related compliance matters on healthcare client engagements. Conduct and review privacy assessments for healthcare engagements. Provide day-to-day operational tasks for our healthcare clients, including facilitating exclusion searches, internally auditing healthcare accounts, providing attestations for Medicare and Medicaid Advantage, and assisting with client requests and surveys. Assist our internal teams and clients in the event of healthcare security incidents. Assist with AI oversight and review from a healthcare and health insurance perspective. Assist with Third Party Administration (TPA) compliance oversight for healthcare and life sciences accounts, including assisting with state-required TPA renewals. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate administrative, physical, and technical safeguards are in place. Support internal audits and client assessments related to HIPAA compliance. Review and maintain anti-fraud activities and procedures for healthcare accounts. Maintain and update documentation for HIPAA-related policies, procedures, and controls. Track and assist with the resolution of compliance-related issues or gaps. Provide input on contract review and negotiations to ensure HIPAA requirements (including BAAs) are addressed.

 

Help deliver training or awareness efforts related to HIPAA obligations for relevant teams. Monitor regulatory updates and assist in identifying any implications for client-facing operations. Review and provide input with respect to Business Associate agreements with vendors and clients. Assist in the development and maintenance and delivery of HIPAA training related training programs for employees. Assist in drafting, updating, and enforcing HIPAA policies and procedures. Monitor changes in healthcare privacy regulations and recommend operational updates to ensure ongoing compliance.

 

Qualifications

 

Education & Experience:

 Bachelor’s degree 3 years of experience in a compliance, privacy, or healthcare-related role, preferably involving HIPAA. Familiarity with TPA oversight and compliance in the health insurance space. Familiarity with HIPAA Privacy, Security, and Breach Notification Rules. Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid program requirements. Experience supporting external clients or working in a regulated environment is a plus. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
