Corporate Banking Associate - Sponsors Portfolio Management

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Corporate Banking Associate to join our Sponsors Portfolio Management team.  This team partners with Financial Sponsors Group, Leverage Underwriting, Industry Coverage and Risk Management to oversee execution of credit related functions and portfolio support. 

In this role, you will:

Supporting senior PM with financial, industry and credit analysis for assigned portfolio of portfolio companies with Sponsor ownershipPerform detailed credit, financial statement analysis, industry analysis and projection modeling to ensure accurate and timely and accurate monitoring, accurate risk ratings, covenant compliance, watchlist updates, recognition of potential problems loans of leveraged credit portfolioPartner with senior portfolio managers on final credit memos, nCino and loan documentationPrepare discussion material for internal presentations with leadership and risk partnersSupport client needs related to credit and related products such as interest rate swaps, fx and operating exposureCompletion of ad-hoc borrower and/or portfolio analysisPreparation of annual reviews, status updates, watch list updates, portfolio review material etcAssist senior portfolio managers with portfolio reviews and portfolio reportingAdherence to credit policies and procedures and incorporate requirements into credit analysis, observations and lending recommendationsCollaborate and consult with peers, internal partners and stakeholders and senior bankersComplete periodic professional development training

Required Qualifications:

2+ years of Corporate Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

2+ years of relevant work experience in portfolio managementCIB Portfolio Management experience, experience with leveraged lending, experience with Sponsor Portfolio managementStrong credit, accounting and technical skillsDemonstrated excellence in working effectively as an individual and as part of a teamStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracyHigh level of initiative and accountabilityAbility to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environmentAbility to act with integrity, good character and exercise sound judgement

Additional Compensation Details:

Base Salary - $125,000-$135,000

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$111,100.00 - $237,100.00
