Corporate Banking Associate - FIG

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Corporate Banking Associate to join the FIG division, which is one of the industry coverage verticals within Corporate and Investment Banking (“CIB”). This role sits within the Portfolio Management and Underwriting (“PMU”) unit of the Banks division covering Latin America and the Caribbean. In this role, you will:

Perform credit underwriting which accounts for all risk factors and providing risk rating recommendationsParticipate in the monitoring, documenting, and analysis of assigned portfolio of loans within the Corporate Banking Relationship Management functional areaReview and interpret credit policies and procedures and incorporate requirements into credit analysis, observations and lending recommendationsResearch, examine and interpret customer portfolio, competitors and related industry in order to prepare a comprehensive credit report opinionReceive direction from more experienced staff and exercise independent judgment while monitoring and maintaining an existing loan portfolio which includes ongoing interpretation and analysis of financial info to determine borrower complianceCollaborate and consult with internal and external stakeholders to understand credit needs and represents the bank in developing, maintaining, and growing client relationshipsProvide guidance to and assist with development of less experienced team members

Required Qualifications:

2+ years of Corporate Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationBilingual speaking and reading proficiency in Spanish/English.

Corporate credit underwriting and analysis experience of banking institutionsKnowledge of financial services credit administration and risk management practicesUnderstanding of financial accounting principles and conceptsAdvance Microsoft Office skills, including using Excel for financial analysis and projection modelingKnowledge of the Latin America regionFamiliarity with S&P Global Market IntelligenceHigh level of initiative and accountability of outcomesStrong time management and task prioritization Strong analytical and quantitative skills

Additional Compensation Details:

Base pay for this position is $125,000May be considered for an annual discretionary bonus

$111,100.00 - $217,200.00
