Corporate Accountant
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Westlake, Ohio. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of accounting processes, including accounts payable, financial reporting, and month-end activities. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in corporate taxation and general ledger management. Responsibilities: • Process and manage accounts payable transactions with accuracy and efficiency. • Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide insights into company performance. • Record and maintain journal entries to ensure proper tracking of financial data. • Assist in month-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments. • Ensure compliance with corporate tax regulations and reporting standards. • Oversee general ledger operations and ensure accuracy in account balances. • Collaborate with other departments to support overall financial operations. • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency. • Maintain accurate documentation and records for audits and financial reviews. Requirements • Proven experience in corporate accounting, including accounts payable and financial reporting. • Strong knowledge of corporate tax regulations and compliance. • Proficiency in managing general ledger operations and journal entries. • Familiarity with month-end closing procedures and reconciliations. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure accuracy in financial data. • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively. • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
