Job Description:
As a Core Tooling Products Support Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of managing daily operations, incident responses, and performance monitoring for critical digital tooling services. Partnering with engineering teams, you’ll troubleshoot issues, recommend improvements, and help elevate the operational maturity of our tooling platforms. This hands-on role offers a direct impact on developer productivity and system stability through your problem-solving expertise.
Become part of a dynamic, high-performing engineering team, collaborating closely with product managers and platform groups to ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of the core internal tools that drive enterprise engineering workflows.
What You'll Do
Monitor and maintain the health and performance of internal tooling systems to ensure uninterrupted service.Diagnose and resolve operational issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions or workarounds.Collaborate with software engineers and platform teams to handle escalations and cross-team dependencies.Drive improvements by contributing to tooling enhancements, creating documentation, and automating support tasks.Track key service metrics to help meet uptime, performance, and compliance objectives.Participate in incident reviews to enhance post-incident learning and improve documentation.What We’re Looking For
Technical Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline—or equivalent practical experience.2+ years in software support, internal tooling, or platform operations roles.Proficiency in Python; familiarity with TypeScript and C# and comfortable troubleshooting across multiple platforms.Experience with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure and services that support engineering tooling.Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, especially for querying and performance tuning.Essential Skills
Strong troubleshooting abilities across code, configuration, integration, and environment layers.Basic experience with monitoring tools, logging systems, and incident response workflows.Commitment to documenting recurring issues, solutions, and system behaviors.Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams and users.Preferred Extras
