In this position …
+ Knowledge in manufacturing, Interior Commodity Preferred (e.g. Injection Molding, Foam in Place, Vac Forming, IMG, IMGL, Paint, Press Bonding, welding, stamping, assembly, etc.)
+ Experience in process planning, implementation, and launch of Interior Commodity manufacturing systems (IP’s, consoles, headliners, door panels, seats, restraints, seat structures)
+ Experience in performing manufacturing feasibility assessments
+ Operational experience in manufacturing processes and process control.
+ Experience in project management and/or program launch

What you'll do …
+ Lead development of manufacturing feasibility plans for new parents, new technology, and high-risk commodities.
+ Review quality performance and evaluate enhancements for continuous improvement in interior commodity manufacturing
+ Drive implementation of robust manufacturing quality control strategies
+ Provide support to Site STA, engaging supplier’s Global Management team to address systemic quality, capacity, and manufacturing issues.
+ Support the development and maintenance of interior commodity manufacturing standards
+ Drive robust sourcing risk assessments on suppliers
+ Collaborate with peers in STA, Product Development, and Purchasing
+ Work with product engineering on design and engineering specifications (ES) to address feasibility issues
+ Provide guidance to purchasing for outsourced components/assemblies related to interior commodity manufacturing process and testing procedures
+ Coordinate efforts regarding FMA, SCCAF, pass through characteristics and quality metrics with cross-functional team
+ Develop global lessons learned and prevent recurrence.
**You'll have...**
+ 3 - 5 years minimum experience in Manufacturing and/or Engineering
+ 5+ years of relevant management experience
+ Bachelor of Science/Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
+ Flexibility to travel approximately 50-70%

+ MBA/MS preferred – Chemical/Electrical/Mechanical
+ Knowledge in manufacturing, Interior Commodity Preferred (e.g. Injection Molding, Foam in Place, Vac Forming, IMG, IMGL, Paint, Press Bonding, welding, stamping, assembly, etc.)
+ Ability to speak and write in the English language fluently to effectively communicate with global teams
+ Experience in performing manufacturing feasibility assessments
+ Operational experience in manufacturing processes and process control.
+ Experience in project management and/or program launch
