Eaton’s EPG CHD EP Americas division is currently seeking a Core Operator 2nd Shift. The hours are Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm to 12:30 am. The rate for this position is $18.54 per hour plus a $.60 per hour shift differential. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The primary function of this role is to perform a variety of duties to operate a core machine to produce quality cores. **In this function you will:**
• Perform various duties to visually monitor automatic core machines as well as sort, clean, gauge, and visually inspect cores according to specifications and place in tubs as required in machine operation.
• Responsible for maintaining quality of cores through machine settings and maintaining equipment, performing binder calibration, and reporting issues to supervision including machine malfunction and operating irregularities.
• Perform utility function as required to include application of 5-S program, regular preventative maintenance, and area cleaning including following cleaning schedules for Redford/Carver speed Mullors, Sinto, and Shalco machines.
• Perform various material handling duties including delivering core boxes and patterns by means of fork truck to and from the tooling department and assisting with keeping mold lines loaded and cleared of core pans.
• Perform and maintain various recordkeeping duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned throughout the facility.

**Qualifications:**
**Required (Basic) Qualifications:**
• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Must have six months manufacturing experience.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of (enter location) will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
**Preferred qualifications:**
• Proven ability to run a machine with multiple settings or specifications.
**Skills:**
**Position Criteria:**
• Ability to stand and/or walk for 8-10 hours and to lift 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Understanding and ability to follow moderately technical standards and maintenance procedures as well as use precision gauging instruments and apply basic math skills.
• Ability to follow all safety regulations associated.
• Understand and utilize the procedures related to lockout/tagout, confined spaces, and fall protection.
• Forklift and frontend loader certified.
• Ability to provide insight into planning and strategic process flow.
• Ability to read, create, and communicate reports from material moving process.
• Ability to work around molten metal and in a production environment that is hot and subject to unexpected swings of overtime (ability to flex personal schedule to cover tasks on other shifts)
• Ability to work proactively and communicate effectively while working with all employees throughout plant.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions: use SAP, E-Safety, MESH Prism
