As an Equifax Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in the Core Analytics team within Data and Analytics (D&A). You will work closely with internal analytics teams, data owners and technology squads on a wide range of data investigations and impact analyses. Members of Core Analytics are known for being the subject matter experts in how Equifax data is used and are at the heart of the most important projects in the business.
This role will specialise in our Commercial data and Retrospective service.
What you’ll doDevelop deep data knowledge in the structure, application and permissible use of data sources, across consumer, commercial and open banking lines of business
Monitor core data assets used by the analytics community and keep everyone abreast of important changes and the reasons behind them. Create and maintain training documentation on datasets in the analytical environment.
Application of data mining tools and programming languages like SQL and Python to prepare data and undertake analysis.
Conduct impact analysis for any business changes that could lead to clients or consumers experiencing a difference in the data or services that Equifax provides.
Write and present proposals, approaches and results to stakeholders, including complex analysis to a range of technical and non technical audiences in Equifax’s governance councils.
Manage and maintain the Consumer and Commercial Retrospective analytical services. This includes R&D to improve the accuracy of the service as well as working with the Product department to incorporate additional features such as new scores.
What experience you needRelevant numerical degree with a 2:1 or above
Experience in programming languages SQL and Python in a data analytics environment
Experience in the use of credit bureau data
An inquisitive mindset, with experience of digging deep into data and processes to understand what happens and why.
Strong technical expertise and experience of analytics techniques to solve problems
You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with team members and stakeholders at various levels, including business leaders.
Extensive hands-on experience in a data analytics environment
What could set you apartPrevious data analytics experience working in a consumer or commercial CRA
Deep understanding of the industry / regulatory landscape
Exposure to machine learning techniques
Additional languages desirable are Google Apps Script or Spark
Cloud experience using GCP or Amazon AWS
