Job Description
As a Copywriter, your role is to develop, implement, and hold the quality line of the verbal angles of brand identity, storytelling, and communication. Furthermore, you will advocate the importance of humanising digital products through words and languages for promos and campaigns. In addition, you need to demonstrate strong interpersonal, prioritisation, and stakeholder management skills in collaborating with the product marketing team, visual designers, content team, and various other roles.

Responsibilities & Creative Development
As a part of the Creative Lab team, your role as a Copywriter is to contribute ideas in the ideation stage, provide copies needed for campaign deliverables, and write persuasive, clear, and concise copy that serves our consumers and increases click-through rates.
You are responsible for crafting creative and engaging copies for various channels that align with the Traveloka brand identity and language style.
Stay updated with current and new industry trends and incorporate them into content creation to ensure relevancy and freshness.
Develop a creative strategy for 360 campaigns based on data and insights and contribute to Big Idea decks to be presented to the stakeholders.
Work closely with the Creative Lead and team members to constantly come up with creative ideas/solutions/initiatives.
Collaborate with Visual Communication Designers in making an engaging and communicative story manifested through various design forms that cater to users' needs and, simultaneously, achieve business goals.
Be a thought partner for the Creative Lead, the product marketing team, the content team, the display team, and other channel managers. Collaborate closely with the production team, brand identity team, and external parties to ensure the campaign process runs smoothly.
Provide understandable context and stories to be translated into foreign languages.
Improve communicative copy and simultaneously maintain consistency across all interfaces and communication channels.
Collaborate with copywriters from other countries to set standards and exchange copywriting learnings
Localisation of campaign materials to the local language where necessary.
Requirements
Fluent proficiency in both spoken and written English and Mandarin (To support bilingual campaigns and in-app content in both languages)
Bahasa Malaysia proficiency is a plus (Useful for OOH campaigns in Malaysia, which may require Bahasa content)
4+ years of experience in e-commerce copywriting
2+ years of experience in localising English copy to Mandarin
Solid understanding of both Singaporean and Malaysian consumer behavior
Strong storytelling skills and persuasive writing style
Sharp eye for detail and creative consistency
Able to develop and present compelling ideas for creative pitches
Self-motivated and reliable under tight deadlines
Familiar with SEO basics and digital marketing best practices
Up to date with market trends and digital content styles
Comfortable using AI-based creative tools (e.g., ChatGPT, MidJourney, Freepik AI)
Education & Experience:
Degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field
3–5 years’ experience in an agency, e-commerce, or fast-paced digital environment
Portfolio demonstrating work across channels (in-app, web, display ads, video, etc.)
