Copywriter, The Studio, Amazon Devices
The Amazon Devices EMEA Marketing organization is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Copywriter to join their creative team, the Devices EMEA Studio. The Studio supports Echo/Alexa, Fire TV, Kindle, Fire Tablets, Smart Home, Ring/Blink and Accessories Marketing teams with their creative needs for product launches, promotions and other business-as-usual-activities.

The Copywriter within the Studio is responsible for leading copywriting across Amazon Devices brands. You collaborate with US counterparts to implement global brand voice, define the EMEA strategy for short-form content and slogans and work with EMEA stakeholders to develop copy for campaigns. You will be working alongside a global team of designers, art directors and program managers on creative projects, from brief to output delivery.

The right person for this role will have a track record of leading the copywriting strategy for world-class brands. They should have experience defining copy strategy and crafting compelling copy lines to reflect their strategy. They have experience copywriting for different parts of the customer journey, from upper-funnel brand communications on social media to lower-funnel packaging copy. They must have experience using tools, including generative AI, to help scale. They should be confident presenting their work to senior leaders, and should be able to debate and defend their copy. The successful candidate will be a tenacious self-starter with a passion for effective communications who can serve as a strong advocate for our customers

Key job responsibilities
• Independently lead the copywriting for all Amazon Devices brands, for both Online and Offline executions – based on global brand voice guidance
• Understand the propositions of our brands and consistently develop and apply their tone of voice in style and tonality across all customer touch points
• Create and maintain copywriting brand guidelines and style guides
• Present and discuss creative writing with senior leaders
• Understand and respond to testing metrics and performance data to define or adjust the direction of creative writing
• Collaborate with other writers, creatives, and marketers to drive and influence transcreation of English copy for use in other EMEA marketplaces
• Collaborate with our design and marketing teams to develop creative strategies for product launches, promotions and business-as-usual activities
• Build and sustain structured mechanisms that closely align with business needs (e.g. maintenance of a copy repository; presentation of cadenced long-form Amazon documents on creative topics)
• Work to scale copywriting through generative AI and other tools
