This is a full-time, temporary, benefits eligible, grant funded position expected to end on or before 5/31/2026. Continuation of this position is contingent upon continued funding. Three years of experience in a related field. Additional education may be considered in lieu of experience. Nature & Purpose of Position Performs complex coordinating activities for clinical experience programs and supervisory work within the program. Primary Responsibilities Serves the Educator Preparation Program by performing complex coordinating activities for the Paraprofessional (ParaPath) pathway and clinical teaching experiences. Provides support for the students, advises students as they navigate earning a college degree and teaching credentials, tracks their progress toward certification and notifies students of progress, assists with navigating challenges within higher education, and connects them with other support as needed. Coordinates program logistics and administrative activities. Supports ParaPath recruitment and the East Texas cohort to increase teacher pipelines in East Texas. Confers with faculty, staff, and administration on program issues and problems and implements solutions. In conjunction with the Director of Innovative Partnerships, plans, implements, coordinates, and evaluates clinical teaching pathways. Maintains accurate records and databases of student progress. Coordinates schedules for course offerings from Sam Houston State University (SHSU), including East Texas partner locations. Develops, recommends, and enforces program guidelines, procedures, policies, rules, and regulations. Interprets policies, rules, and regulations and ensures they are followed. Performs other related duties as assigned. Other Specifications Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws. Ability to supervise business functions. Communicates with other university departments, personnel, and other agencies.
