This position obtains insurance approval and works with Insurance case managers on behalf of the patient for Blood and Marrow Transplantation, coordinates the pre-transplant, donors, registers potential donors for HLA typing, scheduling, and other specific duties for the program.  

 

A caregiver in this position works 8:30am – 5:00pm. 

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

Coordinate department project activities by distributing reports, facilitating analyses and reporting information.   

Develop department resource databases to facilitate management of various project activities.  

Coordinate department scheduling of individuals, resources and activities.  

Collect, maintain and report information for the department such as patient information, budgets, caregiver PTO and schedule.  

Function as a department liaison.  

Assist with performance evaluations, counseling and onboarding of new caregivers.  

Perform duties related to the preparation, implementation and analysis of special studies and projects.  

Maintain office supplies and equipment.  

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

High school diploma or GED. 

3 years of experience coordinating and assisting with management functions and special projects.  

Proficient with spreadsheets, word processing and database software.

Physical Requirements:

Requires extensive sitting and manual dexterity to perform work on a PC.

Typical physical demands include the ability to sit, stand or walk to other locations as needed.

Visual acuity to perform computer functions.

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
