Job Title: Coordinator Human Resources Job Description
This temporary position is designed to fill the role of an Hourly Personnel Coordinator, reporting to the Manager of Employee Relations. The role involves coordinating hourly transactions for hourly employees and supporting various HR functions at the Chicago Assembly Plant.
Responsibilities
+ Coordinate hourly transactions and track manpower planning using an internal database.
+ Input transactions for hourly records promptly.
+ Create and maintain audit-compliant records.
+ Support the Chicago Assembly Plant HR team.
+ Assist with hourly personnel recruiting and hiring as needed.
+ Onboard new hire employees and create personnel jackets and profiles.
+ Support manpower planning processes, including hiring, layoffs, and unemployment management.
+ Address requests and inquiries from legal and retirement divisions.
+ Promote an inclusive work environment and culture, balancing employee advocacy with company goals and values.
Essential Skills
+ 4 years of experience with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
+ Experience with handling large amounts of data and performing data entry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
+ Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment with daily interactions with union staff and leadership.
+ Experience with Oracle's Human Capital Management (HCM) system.
Work Environment
The position requires onsite work five days a week, with potential holiday or weekend shifts depending on needs and schedules.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.55 - $24.55/hr.
