Job Overview:
Performs all duties of scheduling appointments, answering telephones, entering all information into the computer. Communicates effectively with other areas of the department, hospital and physician offices to coordinate patient activities. Perform all Patient Care Associate functions as a member of the health care team and performs selected patient care activities under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse, is responsible for identified critical unit support activities and identified critical clerical/administrative functions as directed. Coordinates all patient appointments after gathering and receiving approval from radiologist. Work closely with nursing and technical staff to provide a caring and smooth flow in patient care area. Is the point person for staff for patient information regarding all communication with ordering physician offices and internal staff.
Qualifications:
Required:
+ High School Diploma or High School Equivalency
+ Clinical care program and / or previous clinical experience
Preferred:
+ Minimum one year prior radiology/medical experience in a health care facility. an NA, CNA, PCA, EMT or nursing / medical student
