Job Overview

The Coordinator assures that baby formulas are prepared according to the correct standards for accuracy.  Correctly assembles and distributes specialized nourishments using sanitary techniques.  Assists the department in all clerical functions for patient meal service through accurate menu processing and assisting patients with menu selections.  Maintains the Room Service computer system so that patient files are updated with appropriate dietary information according to physician order.  Demonstrates skills necessary to coordinate menu selections for pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients.  Assembles and distributes patient snacks. Collects soiled trays from patients' rooms. Maintains pantry refrigerators according to Department of Health standards.  Assembles and delivers floor stock for the Children's Specialized Hospital units.

Qualifications

Required

High School Graduate or equivalent

Two years of experience in a hospital Food Service Department

Must have excellent customer service

Preferred

Experience of preparing enteral tube feedings and baby formula

Associates or Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University

HoursFull Time11 am - 7:30 pmEvery other weekend/holiday rotation required
