Coordinator, Staff Development (E)

Summary:  Under administrative & clinical direction of the Director, Inservice Education the Staff Development Coordinator has responsibility for meeting the educational needs of the members of the Nursing Department. The coordinator is also responsible to members of the nursing Quality Assurance activities in collaboration with the PSC, Administrative Director, Medical Director and hospital-wide CQI Coordinator. The coordinator, as part of the Nursing Department and the hospital, participates in and contributes to, supports and carries out the philosophy, objectives and plan of the institution. 

Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is preferred.  

Licensure: Licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in RI. Access to reliable transportation in order to service off site locations. 

Experience: Five years of clinical experience.  Teaching experience preferred. Demonstrated leadership abilities in accordance with organizational and departmental goals.
