General Summary: The Coordinator of the JBK, under general supervision, serves as the Evening Coordinator for the JBK, Alumni Banquet Hall, Chapel, Buffalo Stadium, and First United Bank Center. This position serves as an Event System specialist for the University, scheduling both Academic and Non-Academic clients. Responsibilities: + Supervises evening event management (some weekend activity). + Assists with event reservation in 25Live. + Supervises student employees. + Trains, advises, and monitors users of 25Live. + Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and proper maintenance of the building(s). Works with SSC and other appropriate entities to ensure building usability. + Provides A/V and event support for clients using the JBK and subsequent buildings. Report any issues to supervisors in the respective areas. + Assists with student training on set-up, event management, and A/V support in JBK and subsequent buildings of responsibility. + Provides statistical reports on building(s) usage, types of events conducted, and number of participants. + This document represents the major duties, responsibilities, and authorities of this job, and is not intended to be a complete list of all tasks and functions. Necessary Qualifications: + Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience. + One (1) year of customer service and event supervision experience. + Problem Solving/Troubleshooting Skills. + Microsoft Office. + Available evenings and some weekends. + Ability to lift and/or carry 50lbs. + Willingness to learn all areas of responsibility (cross-training). Preferred Qualifications: + Master’s degree. + Three (3) years of customer service and event supervision experience, along with staff scheduling and student staff supervision experience. + CPR/AED/First Aid Certifications. + TABC Certificate or ability to obtain certification. + Large Crowd Manager training. + Knowledge/experience with Event Management Software. + WT Computer Software (Colleague, other). + Audio/Video/Lighting Experience.
