We are seeking an experienced Coordinator who will support the German content acquisitions team. This role requires critical thinking skills that allow for intense attention to detail, working independently, understanding of licensing deal terms and being used to taking initiative in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have a background in the local media industry (broadcaster, streaming service, production company) in an assistant or coordinator role, with knowledge of the DACH local market and the players Being comfortable with quantitative analytics while managing multiple projects and being able to find creative solutions internally and externally under tight deadlines is also expected from the role.
We are looking for someone with passion for content acquisition and content in general, contract administration, project management & team assistance and the willingness to evolve with Netflix.
Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to:
Participating in various aspects of content acquisition from screening to supporting deal negotiations (financial analysis and forecasting, commercial terms, contract drafting, amendments)
Managing the execution of agreements across departments, including Content Operations, Legal, Finance, and Content Acquisition
Managing the internal and external communication and displaying a high level of professionalism
Working collaboratively with administrators and coordinators within the larger Content team and across various functions (e.g. Production, Post Production, Marketing, Finance, & other internal partners, etc.) and also supporting if needed
Tracking title schedules and key dates for delivery, amendments, start dates, options, AVMSD purposes etc.
Managing the process and flow of content submissions
Administrative duties involving processing, scheduling meetings, travel and expense reports, file management, etc
Willingness in evaluating content and to understand the process from pitch to delivery
Maintaining flexibility and openness to take on additional projects
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of related work experience as a coordinator or executive assistant in the German market is required
A passion for local content
Fluent in German and English
Ability to cultivate relationships with production and distribution companies
Ability to work flexibly and seamlessly move between different teams to provide support.
High level of organization and ability to manage multiple projects with various deadlines - excellent project and time management skills
Ability to work proactively, independently, and reliably under tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment
Proven verbal and written communication skills; must be articulate and professional both in written and verbal forms
Solid experience with Google Suite and Airtable is preferred, mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint are a must
