Coordinator, Accounts Payable
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Coordinator, Accounts Payable, to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this hybrid role, you will work onsite Monday through Thursday and remotely on Fridays. This long-term contract position involves ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures related to the Source-to-Pay (S2P) process, while serving as a key liaison between vendors, business units, and the accounts payable team. Responsibilities: • Act as the S2P champion by collaborating with supply chain, accounting, and field operations to align with organizational goals and resolve compliance issues. • Oversee and participate in accounts payable activities, such as payment inquiries, invoice approvals, and resolving tolerance failures. • Partner with the procurement team to drive the use of corporate agreements and preferred suppliers. • Assist vendors with onboarding processes and address invoice and payment inquiries promptly. • Support users and vendors with Coupa-related processes, ensuring smooth operations. • Monitor open purchase orders and aged items, ensuring timely resolution and closure. • Review unresolved tolerances and work with users to facilitate accurate invoice approvals and postings. • Guide area users in setting up new suppliers and collaborate with supplier support teams to resolve issues. • Create emergency receipts for non-integrated orders as needed, ensuring compliance with policies. • Provide mentorship and training to team members to enhance their understanding of accounts payable processes. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable, accounting, or shared services roles. • Strong initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Exceptional analytical skills and keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities effectively. • Familiarity with Oracle, Coupa, and other relevant systems is preferred. • Advanced Excel skills and strong communication abilities are a plus. • Experience in training others and providing guidance within areas of expertise.
