**Job Summary and Qualifications**
Position summary:
Coordinates Emergency Medical Service (EMS) related activities and duties, which are the responsibility of Regional Hospital. Primary responsibility for development and maintenance of hospital relationships with EMS providers. Serves as an advocate of the hospital with local, regional, and state EMS agencies. Ensures collaboration across all care settings within the facility as it relates to EMS by participating in performance improvement, quality review, marketing, daily operational support, and educational outreach. Helps drive service line growth.
Position responsibilities:
+ Plan, organize, and coordinate continuing educational opportunities for the EMS community
+ Provide ongoing feedback to EMS partners
+ Assist with marketing and public relations
+ Assist with outreach for ED initiates such as stroke, STEMI, trauma. & sepsis
+ Chart audits
+ Collects Chest Pain Center data related to EMS
+ Responsible for EMS Audit and Review meetings at Regional Hospital
+ Maintains hospital renewal of Supervising Hospital Certification
+ Maintains EMS lounge
+ Communications EMS metrics to Capital Division
+ Assists with disaster preparedness
+ Coordinates EMS clinical rotations
+ Organizes EMS week activities
+ Other duties as assigned
+ Attend Code of Conduct training course annually
+ Demonstrate an understanding of and adherence to HCA’s Code of Conduct
+ Demonstrates conduct that is reflective of THRH’s commitment to HCA’s Code of Conduct
+ Understands and satisfies the needs of the patient population appropriate to the age of the patient served (adults, geriatric, adolescent, pediatric, and parents of neonates)
+ Adheres to the Standards of Behavior for Terre Haute Regional Hospital as per the Customer Relations Policy
**What qualifications you will need:**
Essential educational/licensure, skills and experience:
+ Successful completion of Paramedic program, current Paramedic License
+ ACLS, PALS, BLS certified and maintained throughout employment with THRH
+ Good communication skills
+ Must be state or nationally registered Paramedic
+ BLS upon hire and maintained throughout employment with THRH
+ Minimum one year experience Valued but not required educational/licensure, skills and experience:
+ Associate/ Bachelor’s degree
+ 3-5 years EMS experience
