Cooling Efficiency Portfolio Manager (m/f/d)

What you will do for Siemens Smart Infrastructure:

The Buildings Sustainability portfolio management team is responsible for energy efficiency products and services that are sold and executed by the Smart Infrastructure Buildings business. As part of this team, the Cooling Efficiency Portfolio Manager will be responsible for developing and supporting advanced optimization technologies and services for building cooling systems with primary focus on central chilled water plants. These include technologies that utilize digital twins, machine learning and integrate cloud-based solutions with on-site BMS controls.

The Cooling Efficiency portfolio currently consists of:

Demand Flow®, a patented optimization solution for water-cooled chiller plantsDemand Flow® Smart Services, a service offering utilizing a cloud-based digital twin to maintain and enhance chiller plant performanceWhite Space Cooling Optimization (WSCO), an on-premises machine learning algorithm to optimize cooling control in data centers

Responsibilities

Primary responsibility is the development and maintenance of workflow standards, training standards, time studies, sales support materials, and toolsets necessary for the delivery of the Cooling Efficiency Portfolio globallyServe as a technical support resource for the Energy Services field operations team in the different countries and regions. This includes fielding technical questions related to building controls, HVAC systems, and other relevant connected systems; directing engineers to training and support resources; and facilitating the resolution of technical problems related to portfolio offeringsEvaluate new service providers and develop new portfolio offerings within this category based on application of existing algorithms to new use cases; deployment of related technologies from Siemens Building Products; or identification of new algorithms developed by internal or external resourcesMaintain internal Siemens databases related to the global portfolio offerings required for sales enablement such as estimating tools and proposal generation.Coordinate with Business Development partners across the globe to ensure portfolio content is aligned with field team requirements and provide technical support as needed for new business acquisitionCoordinate with internal resources required to develop necessary technical components for delivery of offerings, such as: data flows, data connections, and data visualizations utilizing the Microsoft suite; extensions to Siemens software platforms such as Desigo CC and Building X

Qualifications

Expert level knowledge related to building mechanical systems and the sequences used to control them, including chillers and chiller plants;central air handling systems; building automation and controls systems;and packaged cooling systemsDemonstrated understanding of energy efficiency and performance improvement strategies related to building HVAC systems, in particular chilled water systems and their componentsStrong background in energy modeling of buildings and building systemsExpert level knowledge in building management systems, particularly BACnet communication protocol, strongly preferredBachelor of Science in Engineering, Technology, or other Applied Science strongly preferredCEM or PE preferredMinimum 5 years experience in sector related to building automation, building mechanical systems, or energy efficiency consultingProficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPointFluency in English requiredExpected travel: 10%
