The Cook 2 position is an **intermediate line cook role** that requires strong culinary skills, good communication, and a true passion for hospitality. This individual will work single stations in the kitchen and perform a variety of cooking techniques under the supervision of senior culinary leaders.
**Responsibilities**
+ Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established Hyatt standards.
+ Work independently at assigned kitchen stations with limited supervision.
+ Ensure proper storage, rotation, and labeling of food products.
+ Follow recipes, presentation specifications, and portion controls.
+ Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment.
+ Comply with all food safety and sanitation standards.
+ Assist with training and mentoring Cook 1 colleagues as needed.
+ Support culinary leadership with daily prep lists and banquet/restaurant needs
**Qualifications:**
+ **2 years of previous line cooking experience preferred** .
+ Culinary degree or related hotel/restaurant experience preferred.
+ Ability to perform all basic cooking techniques and skills.
+ Refined verbal communication skills.
+ A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to stand and work for long periods of time.
