Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Cook for the Food Service Department(Up to $2,000 Sign-on Bonus for qualified candidates)

Shift - Full-time 40 hours a week, 8-hour Rotating Shifts (8 Shift Hours can vary from 4 a.m. to an end time of 8 p.m.)

As a cook at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, you will prepare all hot foods for patient trayline, café, and functions including (but not limited to) entrees, vegetables, starches, and bakery items.

EducationHigh School Grad or Equivalent (Required)Experience in Lieu of degree/diploma will be accepted.

Certification/LicensureFood Handlers Card - Certification - Food Service Certification. Food Handlers (as required by local Health Department).

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$16.35 - $23.08. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
