Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Employee to join our team and assist in the preparation of fresh fruit juices. This position is ideal for someone who values high-quality, fresh products and has a strong commitment to cleanliness, efficiency, and communication within the kitchen environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

    •    Fresh Juice Preparation: Squeeze and press a variety of fresh fruits to create high-quality juices for our menu, ensuring the final product meets our standards for taste, freshness, and presentation.

    •    Quality Control: Ensure all juices are prepared to the highest quality by checking the freshness of fruits and the taste of the final product. Maintain consistency in flavor and quality.

    •    Stock Rotation: Follow proper stock rotation procedures using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method to ensure that the freshest ingredients are always used, minimizing waste and ensuring product quality.

    •    Inventory Management: Communicate regularly with the chef on duty about inventory levels and what fruits need to be ordered. Ensure all required fruits are available and properly stored.

    •    Equipment Maintenance and Cleaning: Regularly clean and maintain all juice pressing and kitchen equipment, following safety and cleanliness protocols to ensure the proper functioning of machines and the hygiene of the work area.

    •    Team Communication: Collaborate with the kitchen staff to maintain smooth operations, providing updates on juice availability and any fruit shortages. Ensure timely delivery of juices for service.

 

Qualifications:

    •    Experience in a kitchen or food prep environment preferred.

    •    Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

    •    Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively.

    •    Excellent communication skills to interact with kitchen staff and the chef on duty.

    •    Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation standards.

    •    Ability to lift and move heavy boxes of fruit and ingredients.

 

Physical Requirements:

    •    Ability to stand for long periods of time.

    •    Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

    •    Dexterity and strength to operate juice pressing equipment.
