Conversion Lead

The Conversion Lead will lead conversion projects for clients transitioning to the Broadridge Suite of applications from third-party or legacy products. This role involves collaborating with client and internal stake holders on conversion requirement discovery efforts, conversion mapping, documentation of the conversion layouts and functional requirements to support the conversion code development, conversion cycle execution, reconciliation, and reporting. As the lead on a conversion project, will also be responsible for maintaining and tracking of conversion project plan, runbooks, issue logs and overall documentation for the project.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination: Collaborate with internal Client Services, PMO, and Account Management teams to establish conversion schedules and strategies.

Project Management: Create and maintain comprehensive conversion project plans, including cycle playbooks, while ensuring alignment with development, QA, SME and other resources.

Stakeholder Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with all stakeholders regarding project status, escalating issues as necessary and implementing remedial measures to keep projects on track.

Support Development Team: Assist the development team in validating conversion results, identifying exceptions and errors, and reviewing outcomes before client delivery.

Documentation: Prepare Charter documentation summarizing conversion scope, assumptions, timelines, and costs.

Requirements Development: Generate detailed business requirements for each conversion to outline development needs and client deliverables.

Testing Oversight: Develop and resource testing requirements to ensure 100% quality for conversions. Collaborate with the QA department to validate functional regression and ensure all testing criteria are met.

Performance Testing: Work with the Development team in conducting tests to confirm conversions meet established success criteria, including acceptable runtime performance and exception counts.

Issue Resolution: Investigate and follow up on any discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution of open issues related to source data or conversion defects.

Process Improvement: Establish and document procedures and policies for testing and executing conversions, fostering an efficient and repeatable conversion process.

Infrastructure Collaboration: Work with infrastructure and DBA teams to optimize conversion testing at both Broadridge and client sites.

Continuous Improvement: Drive enhancements to the conversion process and management by reviewing completed projects and integrating best practices and lessons learned.

Qualifications:

Experience: 5-10 years in the financial industry, with 2-3 years in a project management or senior technical/business analyst roles handling large, time-sensitive projects.

Documentation Skills: Proven experience in creating Business Requirements Documents (SRDs, BRDs) and Test Plans is an asset.

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with tools such as MS Office, MS Project, SQL queries, and UNIX commands. Programming experience (Oracle PL/SQL, MS SQL T-SQL) is a plus.

Conversion Expertise: Previous involvement in client conversion or implementation projects is highly desirable.

Industry Knowledge: Understanding of Canadian wealth management and financial products is advantageous.

Additional Requirements:

Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, during critical conversion cycle phases (e.g., Mock Runs, Dry Runs, and Go-Lives).

Travel: Availability to travel to client sites as needed.
