CONVERSION: Outbound Clerk

  

Your Tasks

Process a variety of documents, including load plans, blills of lading, driver trip records, order adjustments, variances, special deliveries, credits and debits, shortage reports, and product complaints to meet customer needs and to maintain complete and accurate records.

Prints and distributes customer order forms to ensure effective and efficient ordering process reflecting customers' needs and product restrictions.

Maintains customer files and records to ensure complete documentation and support operations functions.

Coordinates the flow of production and material within the department.

Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or record keeping purposes.

Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.

Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.

Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.

Compute amounts, such as space available, shipping and storage.

Performs other assigned duties as necessary.

 

Your Profile

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English effectively (bi-lingual a plus)

Experienced in computer operation and data input/Microsoft Office/Outlook

Strong verbal communication skills.

Detailed oriented and attention to detail

High School Diploma or Equivalent  

Preferred Qualifications / Skills: 

Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment

Manufacturing Environment  

Stand, bend, stoop, lift, and walk majority of your shift  

Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment  

Maximum unassisted lift up to 50 lbs., average lift, less than 10 lbs.; assisted lift up to 80 lbs.

Requires ability to use a keyboard, monitor, RF scanner and calculator  

Requires the ability to communicate verbally
