Control Technician - Priva and ALC Systems
Bayer Facility, Woodland, CA
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Control Technician specializing in Priva and ALC systems to join our team at the Bayer facility in Woodland, California. Under the Direction of the Chief Facilities Engineer The ideal candidate will provide technical expertise in monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting building automation systems to ensure optimal facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
Install, program, and maintain Priva and ALC building & Green House automation systemsMonitor and optimize environmental controls for temperature, humidity, lighting, and ventilationPerform preventative maintenance on control systems and related equipmentTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues with BAS components and softwareConfigure and calibrate sensors, controllers, and other system componentsInterpret technical drawings, schematics, and operations manualsDocument system changes, maintenance activities, and operational parametersRespond to emergency calls and system alarms as neededCollaborate with facility management and maintenance teams to improve system efficiencyTrain facility staff on basic system operations and troubleshootingSome wrench time will be required for this roleRequired Qualifications
3+ years of experience working with Priva and/or Johnson Controls Metasys, Web Control or other ALC systemsStrong understanding of DDC (Direct Digital Control) systems and protocolsExperience with HVAC control systems and principlesProficiency in programming and configuring BAS componentsKnowledge of networking concepts and TCP/IP communicationsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawingsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsValid driver's license and ability to pass background checkPreferred Qualifications
Associate degree or technical certification in Building Automation, HVAC, or related fieldExperience in agricultural or research facility environmentsFamiliarity with additional building automation platforms (Siemens, Honeywell, etc.)Experience with integrating multiple control systemsKnowledge of energy management and optimization techniquesBAS certification or relevant industry credentialsPhysical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 poundsCapacity to work in various environmental conditionsManual dexterity for equipment installation and repairAbility to climb ladders, work at heights, and in confined spaces when necessaryWork Environment

Estimated total compensation for this position:
