This position is for a Controls Technician responsible for conducting equipment setup, troubleshooting, repair, and performing corrective/preventative maintenance for all manufacturing equipment within the facility. The role also optimizes existing machine controls, performance, and output. It works closely with maintenance to provide troubleshooting skills, training, and plans layouts, installs and repairs wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.
ResponsibilitiesConduct equipment setup, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance for all manufacturing equipment.Optimize existing machine controls, performance, and output.Plan layouts, install, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs on equipment by troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and drawings.Essential SkillsWorking knowledge of PLCs, preferably Siemens, but experience with any major PLC programs is acceptable.Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.Experience with welding and NEC standards.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred, or equivalent experience.3-5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.Candidates without a degree must have 5 years of direct experience.Work Environment
100% onsite. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 7am-3:30pm, with 5-10 hours of overtime each week. One Saturday on-call overtime is split between the 8 technicians. The dress code is business casual, with a requirement for closed-toed shoes and safety glasses. The team consists of 8 maintenance technicians, and this role will be the only controls technician. The environment is a very clean and organized manufacturing floor. The culture is family-oriented with an average tenure of 10 years, fostering a great work culture and employee benefits.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $68640.00/yr.
3 Weeks PTO day 1: it is on an accrual. Allow employees to go into the negative 40 hours.
