The Governor Road North (GRN) manufacturing facility uses a combination of custom and purchased solutions to perform these tests. GRN is a high-mix-low-volume manufacturing, assembly and testing facility for specialized control valves. This environment creates exciting opportunities to develop, maintain, and advance test equipment.
Our team is currently hiring a controls engineer to support our Governor Road North manufacturing facility.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Document the current state of hydrostatic testing machines, including functionality, processes, schematics and existing programs. Maintain, update, and optimize PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) programs that control test pressures and clamping forces. Ensure test equipment is calibrated and maintained regularly, coordinating repairs and upgrades to guarantee safe, accurate operation. Identify, design, and procure equipment required to complete hydrostatic testing. Develop standardized testing procedures, focusing on safety protocols and hazard prevention. Recommend and implement improvements to testing processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and safety, prioritizing safety at all times. Train and support team members on the use of testing machines and standard procedures. Ensure all programs are properly documented and backed up. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for any issues related to hydrostatic testing equipment.Who You Are:

For This Role, You Will Need:
Bachelor or Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Industrial Technology or a related field. Expertise in PLCs and HMIs, with a preference for Allen Bradley systems. Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and developing P&IDs. Experienced in 3D modeling, ideally with SolidWorks software. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent documentation and reporting capabilities. Ability to identify process improvements and implement standardization.Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Relevant certifications in PLC programming or industrial automation. Experience in hydrostatic testing and understanding of pressure testing principles. Familiarity with control valve manufacturing and testing standards, such as ASME BPVC.
