Job Title: Controls EngineerJob Description Join a dynamic team in Columbus, IN as a Controls Engineer with a focus on manufacturing motor vehicle parts and accessories, primarily aluminum alloy wheels. This role involves optimizing manufacturing processes, enhancing product quality, and driving innovation in aluminum wheel production. Responsibilities + Design, program, and oversee the installation of machines and processes. + Manage project timelines and budgets effectively. + Build, program, or purchase necessary components for production. + Plan project details and communicate with other departments to ensure success. + Support control systems plant-wide for new equipment. Essential Skills + Associate's Degree in engineering. + 4+ years of relevant experience. + Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting. + Experience with CAD design, including plant layout and custom machine design. + Familiarity with Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Allen Bradley systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Cognex and Keyence Vision Systems. Work Environment Work in a foundry environment which can be warm, with a clean Paint Process area. Enjoy a 1st shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with minimal overtime.
