Controls Engineer
Exciting Controls Engineer Opportunity!

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and innovative programmer to join our team as a Controls Engineer, focusing on new product controls development. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating user-friendly touchscreen interfaces and developing flexible, reliable PLC programs that communicate seamlessly through industry-standard protocols.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and program PLC/HMI systems for new products.Design back panels and select appropriate hardware.Perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting of new products.Configure controls to operate a range of equipment models and system designs.Design panels according to electrical standards and for manufacturability.Participate in field usage studies and beta testing, which may involve travel.Essential SkillsProven experience in PLC programming, particularly with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs.Strong experience in panel design and process instrumentation.Understanding of electrical codes and standards.Expertise in control networking using Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of motion control systems.Experience with electrical standards and manufacturability design.Work Environment

The role is based in an office setting where collaboration with other engineers is essential. You will also spend time in the manufacturing plant, working alongside electrical and mechanical engineer teams to integrate industrial dryers. The environment is fast-paced, with opportunities to take initiative and find more work. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $76.92/hr.
